I have been a loyal customer of Take 5 for oil changes for a few years at the Southwest Parkway location in College Station, Texas. I have always received a military discount upon showing my DD214 (a government issued military separation document) without any issues. Yesterday (8/23/26) I came for an oil change and told them before starting that I needed an oil change and the military discount. They started my service and asked which oil change I wanted. I said β€œthe core for $91.99”. I had the expectation of my total being $91.99 minus the 25% military discount, plus tax. In the middle of my service I was told my total was $118.76 by Cameron. I asked if that was with the military discount. He asked for proof of service. I showed him my DD214 on my phone, which I have always shown and had no issues. He took my phone to Jeremy who came to me stating they are β€œcracking down” and not able to give a military discount without a military photo ID. (Note a military photo ID is only given to veterans with a 100% service connected disability, this is not available to all veterans). I’ve never had issues before. My DD214 shows an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army with my name (prior to

I had an oil change, antifreeze change and a cabin filter replacement in your store. All of the services were performed well but when I was told I would get a 25% discount for a military service you didn’t take it off my final bill. I was on the phone over an hour to get into customer service to be able to resolve the issue. That took a big of portion of my Friday afternoon to resolve my issue.

Extremely Disappointed β€” Customer Service Has Failed I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. There is dirt/staining on the cloth passenger seat of my relatively new vehicle that occurred while the vehicle was being serviced. Multiple attempts have been made to get this issue resolved, yet I continue to be passed around with no accountability. The technician should have taken the basic precaution of placing something over the seat to protect it while working on the vehicle. What is even more frustrating is the complete lack of customer service afterward. Corporate has failed to respond, and the local branch refuses to address the issue. I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply want my seat cleaned and my vehicle returned to the condition it was in before the service. At this point, I have exhausted my patience and every reasonable attempt to resolve this directly. If the company is unwilling to take care of a relatively simple issue, I will have no choice but to consider pursuing this through other channels, including legal counsel. A company should stand behind its service and take responsibility when something is damaged or soiled whi

I would go to take 5 oil frequently with no issues until it took them a while to take off and put back my glove box, My glove box now no longer closes and they refuse to do anything to help. They told me that I should do it to myself and β€œthese things happen”

Overall my experience with the 2 gentleman working was a 10/10! I’m giving it a 3 stars because I waited an hour in total for an oil change due to only 2 people working on Sunday! The guys were working their butt off, but I didn’t get any thing done besides the oil change. No wiper fluid filled, tries weren’t checks until I asked them to, they didn’t check my wiper and letting me know if I need new ones. I didn’t complain much to the guys because I know they had a long line, but it would have been nice for an extra person or 2 there. Definitely won’t be going back on a Sunday. Management needs to do better about staffing
